Mass for Mrs. Bertha Ryan Caldwell, 78, of 5618 Kimbark Ave, will be held at St. 
Thomas the Apostle Church and interment at Calvary in Hyde Park. Mrs. Caldwell 
organized the Hyde Park Music Club 50 years ago and was active in the PTA of the 
Kenwood and Francis W. Parker schools. She was a graduate of the Dearborn 
Seminary and the New England Conservatory of Music and studied voice in Paris. 
Wife of the late Asa J. Caldwell Surviving is a son, Robert Brewster Caldwell and 
a brother, Edwin C. Ryan, of Winnipeg, Canada.
