Rev. Father Hayden celebrated high mass, at which Miss Anna Collins, of this city, sang. Rev. Father Hayden spoke, a few words, paying tribute to Mrs. Duffy’s beautiful character and unselfish life. He said what her many Joliet friends believe that no one knew her but to love her. The remains were taken to Morris, Illinois, and the burial was made in the family lot in the Morris cemetery. The pallbearers were Arthur Lennon, George Winsor, Lawrence Ryan, Richard McPartlin, Patrick Mills and Dr. William Mahoney. Miss Nellie Duffy and Dr. Bernard Duffy came to Joliet to remain at the home of their brother, Edward Duffy, Raynor avenue, over Sunday. A granddaughter, Miss Jane Duffy, was also home from De Kalb for the funeral.
