Obituary of Elisha Lyle WADSWORTH, Cook County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Nancy Giles While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this obituary which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to any surname that I am researching personally. Nancy Elisha Lyle Wadsworth, engineer with the San Bernardino county highway department, died at 10 a.m. today at his home, 226 Nineteenth street, Alta Loma, following an illness of more than four months at the age of 63 years. A native of Chicago, Ill., Mr. Wadsworth made his home in California for 60 years, having come west when a boy of 3 years. He moved to the Alta Loma district from Los Angeles 16 years ago. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Upland post, American Legion, and was affiliated with the Masonic lodge in San Bernardino. Surviving the engineer are his widow, his parents, Mr and Mrs. Guy W. Wadsworth, Hollywood; two sisters, Miss Helen Wadsworth, Hollywood, and Mrs. R. W. Riggs, Nogales, Ariz.; and a brother, Guy Jr., Los Angeles. Funeral arrangements, in charge of the Stone mortuary, are incomplete. The Daily Report, Ontario, California March 15, 1950 Funeral services for E. Lyle Wadsworth, 63, construction superintendent of the San Bernardino county highway department, who died yesterday at his home 226 Nineteenth street, Alta Loma, will be conducted tomorrow, 10:30 a.m. at the Stone mortuary, 329 East Ninth street. The Rev. William Roberts of the First Presbyterian church of Pasadena, will officiate. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial park.
