Russian Girl Exile a Suicide

Evanston Student Taken Poison on Hearing Sweetheart is Slain

Miss Marian Farber, daughter of Rabbi M. M. Farber, died in the Evanston 
hospital after an illness of two weeks, due to a self-administered does of 
corrosive sublimate taken with the intent to end her life. Miss Farber, a 
freshman at the Northwestern university, swallowed the poison upon learning 
that her sweetheart had been butchered by Cossacks in the land from which she 
was exiled with her parents.
