Chicago Daily Tribune - Oct. 7, 1875
Olcott - At Waterbury, Vt., October 3, Charles E. Olcott, aged 34 years, son of 
Orville Olcott, of this city.

For three years during the War he was a member of the Chicago Mercantile Battalion 
and served his country faithfully. His remains will be brought to Graceland for 
interment.
