Perry, of Chicago Heights, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Baker of this city was laid to rest in the Stegar Cemetery this afternoon, there to await the glorious Resurrection Day. Many Streator friends motored to Chicago to attend the services. Mrs. R. L. Perry was born at Shepton Mallet, England. Her maiden name was Hilda Charlton Lawrence. She was the only child of George and Emily Lawrence and was born March 29, 1894. Her father died in 1897. Her mother was married to Rev. M. C. Baker in 1910, when Rev. Baker was overseas on a vacation. Hilda, with her mother came to this country when he returned in 1910. She lived with then until the 22nd of July, 1924 when she became the wife of R. L. Perry, of Chicago Heights. She was a member of the P. M. church of Streator since 1912, a useful worker in Sunday school and other departments of the church. She leaves to mourn her loss a devoted and beloved husband, a baby daughter, three weeks old, besides her parents, Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Baker, an aunt, Mrs. Bessie Witcombe and cousin Miss Bessie Witcombe of Streator and other relatives overseas. Her end came as a result of a Caesarian operation from which she never fully rallied. Her hosts of friends of this city will be extremely sorry to learn of this bright young life ending so abruptly. Those who mourn have the sincere sympathy of all who know them.
