Chicago Tribune - June 23, 1942
Services for Earl Gustave Swanson, assistant vice president of traffic of the 
Burlington railroad, will be at 10:30 am tomorrow at 332 Downer place, Aurora.  
Mr. Swanson died yesterday after a short illness,  He was 49 years old and lived 
at 819 Oak avenue in the suburb.  Mr. Swanson entered the employ of the Burlington 
in 1911 and during the last 22 years has been in the office of the vice president 
of traffic as statistician, chief clerk and since 1936 as assistant.  His widow 
and one daughter survive.
