GATES I, Mary E. Gates do make this my last Will and Testament as follows: First I give and bequeath to my son Henry B. Gates, my piano, Second, I give and bequeath to my son Herbert W. Gates, my organ Third, I give and bequeath to Alice J. Gates, wife of my son Charles W. Gates, one thousand dollars, ($1,000.00) Fourth, I give and bequeath to my niece Mrs. Minnie S Hutchins Dingee, one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) Fifth, I give and bequeath to each of my two grandchildren Myrtle Alice and LeRoy Hutchins Gates the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) each, the same to be said to my son Henry B. Gates, as Trustee to be held, used and applied as follows: Said bequests shall be kept invested until my said grand children shall respectively arrive at the lawful age, at which date said bequests and the income thereof or so much thereof as shall then remain in the hands of said trustee, shall be paid over to my said grand children respectively; Provided, however, the said trustee may at any time and from time to time use the said bequests, or so much thereof as he shall think best for the benefit of the grand child for whom the same is held in trust, in such way as he may think for the best interests of such grand child. Sixth: I give and bequeath to my son, Charles W. Gates, all evidences of indebtedness against him which may belong to me at the time of my death, which together with advances heretofore made to him, will equal what would otherwise have been his share of my estate -1- -2- Seventh: I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my property and estate of every kind and nature as follows: one fourth thereof to each of my three sons C. Frank Gates, Henry B. Gates and Herbert W. Gates, one sixteenth thereof to my son William S. Gates and three- sixteenth thereof to Lillian P Gates wife to my son William S. Gates. Eighth: I appoint Henry B. Gates and John P. Wilson executors of this my last will and testament, and direct that no bond be required of them as such executors. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 28th day of January A. D. 1898 Mary E.
