O. Hutsonville, was born near his present residence in Crawford County, August 19, 1847. He is the youngest son of Byrant Cox, whose biography appears in this work. His early life was spent at home assisting in tilling the soil of his father's farm and receiving such an educating as the common schools afforded. When he became of age he was given by his father 106 acres of home farm, and he has since remained here engaged actively in farming and stock-raising. He is now the owner of 460 acres of good land. In Crawford County, February 11, 1879, he married Miss Olive Newlin, a native of the county, born February 7, 1847 to Cyrus and Eliza Ann (Hill) Newlin. Mr. and Mrs. Cox are members of the Christian Church. Mr. Cox is now holding the office of Supervisor. Additional Comments: Extracted From: HISTORY OF CRAWFORD AND CLARK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS.
