He owns a farm of 160 acres, all under cultivation. In June, 1882, he engaged in his present avocation- engineering. He was married in 1843, to Miss Sarah Saul. Has a family of seven children, six sons and one daughter-William E., Reuben, Franklin P., Albert, Philip, U. S. Grant, Mrs. Emma C. Man. He is a member of the United Brethren Church.
