He came to America in 1871, and located in Indianapolis, Ind. He engaged in the dry goods business for one year, also, for a short time, at Terre Haute. In 1874, he located in Robinson, and engaged in the same business. September 5, 1873, he was married to Miss Emma Bull, daughter of E. F. Bull. They have two children-Dale and Peter.
