WILLIS (Willis & Johnson), hardware, Robinson, was born near Indianapolis August 16, 1839, son of Toliver M. and Lncinda J. S. (Langster) Willis, and when quite young removed to Kentucky, but afterward to Covington, Ind., where he worked for three years in the marble business; he then engaged in clerking in a hardware store, which he continued for seven years for the same house. He came to Robinson in 1875, and began the hardware business here, which he has since followed, and is at present a member of the firm of Willis & Johnson. They carry a large stock of goods, and have an excellent trade. He was married May 8, 1872, to Miss Virginia Prather, daughter of Dr. C W. Prather, of Covington, Ind., and has a family of four children, viz.: Edna S., Pearl L., William N. and Charles H.
