Mrs. Frank McTaggart and children returned from Oklahoma last week for a visit with friends and relatives. Mr. McTaggart will follow in a few weeks and they may decide to locate in this county. The Palestine orchestra rendered music for a dance given at Sullivan last Thursday evening. That they gave entire satisfaction is evidenced by the fact that the promoters of the function stated that the orchestra rendered the best music they had danced to this season with the possible exception of the Terre Haute orchestra and also by the fact that the local organization has a return engagement for the Appollo club April 2 and the Elks April 4. About 3 a.m. Tuesday the lightning struck the wind mill on the William Rousch farm west of town and damaged the platform seriously. A gang of lineman in charge of Mr. Kirkpatrick have been engaged in distributing poles and digging holes for the installation of a long distance telephone company. 3-21-1907 Jacob Lillie met with a very painful accident Sat. While taking slides on the stairway to the amusement of the household where he is rooming, at the close of the last and sudden and daring descent he lost his balance and fell thru a glass door nearby. The force of the fall was on his right arm and a deep gash was cut just above the wrist.
