Secret Marriage of Earl WEGER and Trilla SHAW, Crawford County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Crawford County Web Site Secret Marriage Leaks Out Earl Weger married Miss Trilla Shaw of Palestine Illinois The following article concerning the Weger-Shaw wedding is taken from a Decatur Daily and will be of interest our readers; Friends of Earl Weger employed by a barber by L. W. Haerting, are reproaching him with undue secretiveness as word of his marriage over a week ago is leaking out. The young man married Miss Trilla Shaw of Palestine, IL., in Vincennes IN., Sat Nov. 10, 1906. Mr. Weger asked for a few days vacation from duty at Mr. Lou Haerting shop. When he came back he was so quiet and subdued that his friends and acquaintances began to wonder if he was ill. Finally someone struck the happy solution that he had been married on his vacation. When he was asked about it Mr. Weger would not deny the charge and finally admitted it reluctantly. At present Mrs. Weger is visiting in Palestine, she is to come to Decatur later and the couple will take rooms.
