Odell-Jones Wedding, Crawford County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Cindy McCachern Odell-Jones Wedding   31 July 1914, Oblong (IL) Oracle   S. F. Odell and Miss Gladys Jones were quietly and unexpectedly married Saturday evening at the U. B. parsonage.  Rev. Curtis Williams officiating.   The groom is the eldest son of D. W. Odell, and an assistant cashier in the First National Bank.  Fletcher is a fine young man of splendid attainments and is making good in the position he holds as a book- keeper and cashier.   The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Jones, who resides with her parents on  West Main street.  Miss Gladys is an accomplished young lady without spot or blemish on her splendid character and is an idol among her associates and the U. B. church of which she is a prominent and worthy member.   After the nuptial knot was tied the newlyweds hied themselves away for a trip, going to Willow Hill in an auto where they caught the night train west, leaving for St. Louis for a few days, then to Chicago and on to St. Joe, Mich. where a couple weeks honeymoon will be spent.   On their return home they will go to housekeeping in the property now occupied by J. O.
