Obituary of Amanda Reinoehl BEAM, Crawford County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Cindy McCachern Obituary of Amanda Reinoehl Beam   Amanda, daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth Reinoehl, was born near Lebanon, Ohio, December 26, 1834. She was the youngest of twelve children.  Her father was one of a small number of men who formed a wagon caravan and brought his family to what to them was the "west" and settled at New Hebron, Illinois, where the subject of this sketch grew to womanhood.   She was married to Henry T. Beam by Rev. J. A. Alexander September 24, 1857.  Shortly after marriage, they moved to Palestine.  To this union nine children were born, four of whom survive:  William and George of Robinson, Leonard and Mrs. Frank Corbin of Palestine.    Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Beam was a member of the Lutheran church, but later she and her husband united with the Palestine Presbyterian church.  On the night of February 2, she recived injuries from a fall which resulted in her death February 21, 1926:  aged 91 years, 1 month and 24 days.  She had been blessed in her declining years by the faithful care of her only living daughter, Mrs. Frank Corbin.   Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon, the pastor, Rev. M. E.
