Transcribed by Dan Weger. Bertha May Quick (6/24/1978) Bertha May Quick, daughter of Ulysses G. and Lenora (Grow) Wilson was born in Crawford County, Illinois near Palestine, May 16, 1891. Departed this life at 4:10 p.m. at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, June 16, 1978 at the age of 87 years and one month. On September 5, 1909, she was married to Isaac I. Quick and to this union was born two daughters and three sons. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County, a member of the Kirk Chapel Methodist Church, Women of the Moose and Robinson Grange No. 826. She is survived by a daughter, Mabel Mullins; a son, Dwight Quick; a sister, Cora Quick; one son-in-law, Edmund Mullins; and two daughters-in-law, Maxine and Dorothy Quick; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral service were conducted in the chapel of the Buchanan Funeral Home June 19 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Carl Williams officiating.
