Transcribed by Dan Weger. Beulah Shipman (11/4/1980) Beulah F. Shipman, 73, Oblong, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday at Crawford Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born March 23, 1907 in Oblong Township and was a member of Eastern Star and Rainbow Circle of Central United Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Bernal Connett, Robinson, and Pete Connett, Lawrenceville; a sister, Mrs. Theodore (Lavena) Grant, Oblong; 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, James and Lillie Good Connett, her husband, Fresco Shipman, in 1974, and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with Rev. Eugene Black officiating. Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
