GIBSON Shot and Killed Instantly by M. E. Moore at Vincennes C. E. Gibson was shot and instantly killed by M. E. Moore on the platform of the Station at Vincennes last Monday at 8 a.m. Moore is the proprietor of the Red Mill Theatre and Gibson is a well known oil man of Vincennes. Five shots were fired and all took affect in Gibson's body and death was instant with him. Immediately after the shooting Moore boarded the east bound train and went to Washington Ind., where his wife was stopping with her father, Arnold Padgett. Shortly after arriving at Washington and while on his way to his farther-in- laws house, Moore was arrested, and at his request the Washington policeman took him to Mr. Padgett's home where he ate breakfast with the Padgett family and his wife. He was then taken back to Vincennes and committed to jail. It is said that the motive for Moore's act was over attentions which Gibson was paying to Moore's wife.
