Brinson, 74, Willow Hill, died Tuesday night at the Veteran's Administration Regional Hospital in Danville. Born May 28, 1916 in Willow Hill Township, he was a son of Charles and Lura Smith Brinson. He was a dairy bulk tank operator and was a member of Cooper Masonic Lodge #489 AF and AM Willow Hill; member of Richland County Farm Bureau; Willow Hill Grain Bowling Team; and was a veteran. He married Wanda Merril December 10, 1945 and she died September 6, 1987. Surviving are his mother-in-law, Edna Preston, Robinson; a son, Larry Brinson, Willow Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Lenora) Brown, Morrisonville and Mrs. Loy (Sherry) Bourne, Noble; four grandchildren; and a sister Opha Stallard, Lawrenceville. The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Newton with military rites by Newton Post #20. Rev. Bob Phillips will officiate and burial is in Shiloh Cemetery, rural Willow Hill. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
