I'm just posting an Obit that was sent to me by Barbara Dix who is transcribing old news articles for the website Oldest Man in County Dead David Mikeworth, the oldest man in Crawford county, died at his home in Robinson Monday evening, Sept. 1st. He was born near Harrisburg, Pa., Feb. 2, 1816, being at the time of his death 97 years, 6 months and 30 days old, says the Argus. When Mr. Mikeworth was two years old his parents moved from Pennsylvania to Licking county, Ohio, where he grew to manhood, and was married in 1837. Eleven years later he moved to this county, locating in Oblong township, entering 120 acres of government land, making a home for himself and wife and two orphan children, having none of their own. These children were William Ruckle and a baby girl, after ward the wife John Wattleworth. They afterward took and raised three other children. The first Mrs. Mikeworth died in 1884, and he was remarried to a lady who lived but a short time after the marriage.
