He was married to Miss Fanny Allen Aug,30, 1889. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Mae Draper and Nettie, still surviving and Herschel, who preceded him in death. He united with the Christian Church at Pleasant Hill, April, 20, 1905. From that time hence, he had lived a faithful and consistent Christian life. It is a great consolation to the bereaved family to know Bert had expressed a desire to go anytime that the Lord should call him He had told them also, that he would spend this winter in a brighter and happier land than this earth of ours. He leaves two brothers, George W. Allison and Wm. J. Landrith of Oklahoma, four sisters, Mrs George M Clements, of Centralia, IL., Mrs.. R. N. Mickey of Russellville, Ill., and Mrs. J .P .Kent of Robinson, Ill.; his kind and faithful wife, two children, and one grandchild besides other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Although the hearts of his loved ones are very sad to know they have lost such a kind and faithful brother, they know that their earthly loss is his heavenly gain. Funeral services were held at pleasant Hill, conducted by Brother Russell. The choir sang his favorite song, which was "We Have An Anchor." A precious one is gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled God in His wisdom has recalled The boon his love had given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven. ************************************************************************** USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
