Obituary of Florence Belt Acton

Olney Daily Mail, 29 October 1951

Mrs. Florence Acton, age 82, the widow of Wesley Acton, passed away
early Sunday morning at the Richey Nursing Home following a long period
of declining health.  Mrs. Acton has until recently been making her
home with her son Ralph in Decker township.

She was born in Crawford county on October 22, 1868, the daughter of
William and Caroline Belt.  She had been a resident of this county for
many years.

Mrs. Acton is survived by a son, Ralph, of Noble, a daughter, Mrs.
Marie Carrol of Flora, and the following stepchildren:  Owen Acton of
Windom, Minn., Hugh Acton, Mrs. Clara Lentz and Mrs. Ona Varngover, all
of Indianapolis, Ind.  Homer Acton of San Diego, Cal, and Ben Acton of
Lexington, Ky.  She also leaves two brothers, Raymond Belt of Mattoon
and Roscoe Belt of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in
the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev.
David Beecher in charge.  Interment is to be in Haven Hill.


The body of Mrs. Acton will remain in the funeral home where friends may call.
