KNOCKED INTO ETERNITY Uncle George Parker of Flat Rock Struck by South Bound Passenger-Tuesday and Killed Last Tuesday about 12:45 P.M. Uncle George Parker, of Flat Rock, was going down town on the railroad track from his home in the north part of town. It is supposed that age, hard hearing and the noise from a locomotive standing on the switch opposite him all contributed to drown the noise of the incoming south bound passenger train which was due at 12:45 P.M.and was thrown about 15 feet to the side of the track which caused immediate death. Uncle George was a highly respected old man. He would have been 71 years of age had he lived until next month. He moved to Flat Rock recently from his farm which is know as the Deness Hull place in south Montgomery and is a good oil farm today. He formally resided in Honey Creek. The funeral took place from the house Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Jackson and interment was made in the Charlottesville Cemetery near Port Jackson.
