Obituary of John Mulvane, Crawford County, Illinois 29 August 1906, Robinson Argus   Obituary of John Mulvane   John Mulvane was well known and held in high esteem as a good, loyal and enterprising citizen and kind hearted Christian gentleman for quite a period of time.  He had served the people of Martin township faithfully, having filled several offices of important trust.  While he was highly respected in the community and the church, it was in the home where his true and beautiful life shown in greatest brilliancy, as a true, faithful husband and a loving father.   Deceased was born in Coshocton county, Ohio, Sept. 13, 1840, and died Aug. 20, 1906.  He was united in marriage to Caroline Purcell Feb. 1st, 1878.  To this union five children were born, Della, Louisa, Jane, Cora, and Thomas.  Wife, two daughters, one son, three sisters, and one brother and many other relatives and friends mourn the loss of one dearly loved by them all.  He united with the Christian church Dec. 4, 1904.  Although his afflictions were long and severe, he bore them with great patience and was fully resigned to God's will.   A short funeral service was conducted by Elder S.
