JACKSON, son of William and Nancy JACKSON, was born September 16, 1850, in Greene County, Indiana, and departed this life January 4, 1929, aged seventy-eight years, three months and eighteen days. He was united in marriage to Hettie R. IIAMS, December 24, 1884. To this union were born eight children, four sons and four daughters. One son and a daughter preceded him to the Great Beyond. The surviving children are Quince D., of Kansas; William V., of Hardinville; Omar E., of Kansas; Myrtle DOLD, of Marion, Indiana; Sattie HELVIE, of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Opal RAMSEY, of Marion, Indiana. Mr. JACKSON united with the Christian church early in life and lived a consistent Christian life until death. He was the youngest of thirteen children, all having preceded him to the grave. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife and six children, a number of nephews and nieces, sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and a large circle of friends.
