Obituary of Laura LAMB, Crawford County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Cindy McCachern Obituary of Laura Lamb      21 August 1918, Robinson (IL) Argus   Laura, daughter of Isaac and Cissaly Lamb, was born December 30, 1854 and departed this life August 15, 1918, aged sixty-three years, seven months and fifteen days.  She was married to J. A. Newlin March 21, 1880.  To this union were born four children, Leola May Conover, Alice Carrie, Walter Allen and one, who died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, two daughters, one son, also one stepson, Brady E. and three grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters; three brothers having preceded her in death and also a host of other relatives and friends.   She became a Christian at an early age and has ever kept the faith. She was a loving wife and mother, always ready to minister to the wants of others.  She bore her suffering patiently and during the last day of her illness so often spoke of Jesus.  She has not left us, only gone before to wait on that beautuful shore for our coming when we shall all be safe in the loving arms of Jesus.   Funeral services were at the home at eleven o'clock Sunday by Rev. W. W.
