Obituary of Mary Alice Weirich Renchen, Crawford County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Cindy McCachern Obituary of Mary Alice Weirich Renchen   Mrs. Mary Alice Renchen, the daugher of Isaac and Eliza Weirich, was born in Martin township, Crawford County, Ill., on November 18, 1861.   She has spend practically all of her life in Crawford county, and since 1919 she has been, for the most part, a resident of Robinson, residing with her granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Rosbolt.   On December 26, 1882 she was married to Ira Renchen, with whom she lived as a faithful companion until his death on July 17, 1919, his age being 62 years.   Unto them were born five children, three sons and two daughters, all of whom excepting two sons, died in infancy.  The surviving sons are Fredrick of  Plant City, Fla., and Ralph Renchen of Kansas City, Mo.   While yet young people, she and her husband united with the Presbyterian Church near Hardinville, and later transferred their membership to the U. B. Church at Robinson.   Her surviving relatives are her two sons, Fredrick and Ralph Renchen. There are nine grandchildren, namely Herman Renchen, Mrs. Mary Rosbolt, Mrs. mildred Pasley, and Mrs. Daisy Myers, who are residents of Robinson.  Paul and virginia Renchen reside in Kansas City, Charles, resides at Hay Springs, Neb.; Margaret, at Alton, Ill., and Robert resdies at Lincoln, Ill.   Five great grandchildren also survive her.   In addition to the above relatives, she also leaves one sister, Mrs. Laura Wampier of Spencer, Ind.   Thus the scattered remnants of a once well-known household remain. Life makes no promises to any of us except in Christ.  In Him we are admonished to live and to enjoy eternal life withthe promise of everlasting joy and bliss in the heavenly kingdom of God the Father.
