I'm just posting an Obit that was sent to me by Barbara Dix who is transcribing old news articles for the website. NATHAN COX CALLED Respectable Citizen Passed Away Monday Nathan Cox, a well respected and life long resident of this township passed away at his home west of town Monday morning about 6 o'clock, the cause of his death being contributed to influenza. Nathan Cox, son Calvan and Hannah Cox, was born near Hutsonville March 28th, 1845 and departed life Feb. 24th. 1919, aged 78 years 10 months and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Eliza A -------  March 9th, 1867 and to this union were born 10 children , eight of whom survive, being Wm. Cox of Gordon, Esther Kirts, Cecil Cox of Trimble, Gertruide Chitticks of Paris, Irwin Cox of Terre Haute. Arminta McCain, Effie McCain and Edgar Cox of this place. Amanda and Emma preceded him in death. He leaves to morn their loss an aged wife, eight children and 24 grand children. He is one of a family of 13 children two of whom suvives being Noah Cox of this place and John Cox of Hamlin Ark. He united with the Baptist church in 1866. He was a kind husband and a loving father and was very industrious and honest in all his dealings with fellow men, a good Christian always doing good. He will be greatly missed in the surrounding community. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon conducted by Eld. J. L.
