Obituary of Rachel Poulter, Crawford County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Cindy McCachern Obituary of Rachel Poulter   From the Kansas (IL) Journal, Thursday, 21 March 1901   Mrs. Rachel Poulter died Friday March 15, 1901, after a sickness of several weeks.  She has long been a resident of Kansas township, having lived here nearly her whole life.  She was a true Christian, and although her last sickness caused her great suffering, she still had patience and trusted in God.   Rachel H. Gibbons was born in Terre Haute, Ind., Dec. 12, 1824.  At the age of nineteen she was married to Nathan Musgrave.  She was left a widow at about the age of twenty-one.  Two years later she married Wm. R. Poulter.  She was one of the charter members of the Hitesville Christian church.  Of her children, ten are living.  The funeral was conducted from the Pleasant Hill church Sunday, March 16, by Rev. E. F.
