This obituary was read "on the air" on the local Robinson radio
station (WTAY I think) during a program called "Memorial Time".
I have no connection to the families mentioned in this
obituary.

Vernal "Gabe" Connett, age 75, of Robinson died Friday at
Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.  He is survived by his wife,
Corda; two sons, Gary of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dwaine of
Charleston; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Linda) McKay of
Champaign; four grandchildren; one brother, Clarence "Pete"
Connett of Lawrenceville; and one sister, Lorena Grant of
Oblong.

Funeral services will be held Monday at the First Church of
Christ in Robinson with Rev. T.R. Akers officiating.  Burial
will be in the Robinson New Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7
until 9 P.M. at the Pulliam Funeral Home and from one hour
before service time at the church.  The family requests that
those wishing to do so may make honorariums to the Barnes
Hospital of St. Louis, envelopes will be available at the
funeral home.
