Written: 1862

I Loyal S Wilcox of Sycamore, De Kalb County and State of Illinois
noing the sertainty of deth, and the uncertainty of life do hereby
make my last will and testamony, this is to invoke all former &c, 1st
I bequeath my body to the earth, and my spirit to God that gave it.
2nd I desire all my lawful debts paid out of my real and personal
estate as may be advised by my Executor, 3rd I give the use of all the
remainder of my property to my wife Elanor during her life, and she
remains my widow, out of which she is to keep my daughter Lucy and
provide for her. 4th I wish my two sons Daniel and Asahel to work said
farm and furnish said wife and daughter with a home and the comforts
of life as above, and said girl is of age, or other ways provided for,
they, then shall pay if no extrordinary expense shall ocur, said  Lucy
$50 when she becomes of the age of 21 years, in case said efects hav
come into there posesion, otherwise in one year after it is in their
posesion, according to the above wishes, then all the remainder is
theirs to hav and to hold forever to them and their heirs, I also
apoint Mr Alfred Shurtleff my executor.
