They bought an 80-acre farm in 1822 and lived in Shelby County until 1852, when they sold their farm to Samuel Nail and moved to DeWitt Co., IL. The title of the Bible is “The New Testament of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, translated out of the Original Greek, and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised,” New York American Bible Society, Instituted in the Year MDCCCXVI, 1843.
