Coleman Bright came to Douglas county in 1850 and engaged in retail
merchandising, and in about 1860 removed to Tuscola and remained a member of the
firm of Bright & Jones until his death on July 20, 1881.

Coleman Bright married Mary Henson on 3 October 1854 in Coles County, IL
