Taylor, real estate dealer at Newman and a man universally popular and esteemed by everybody around Newman, was born in Tippecanoe county, Indiana, April 8, 1836, where he was reared and educated. He has been a resident in Newman since 1876 and has negotiated many important real estate deals in Douglas and adjoining counties. In 1856 he wedded Miss Alice Beezley, of Indiana. They had three children: A. A.; Charley, who is the present census enumerator of Newman township; and Belle. They are highly respected and counted among Newman's best people.
