Obituary of Mrs. W. J. Parker, Douglas County, IL Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Terry Parker FROM THE CHAMPAIGN NEWS-GAZETTE; DECEMBER 21, 1930 VILLA GROVE, Dec.20---Mrs. W. J. Parker, who has been ill for two years with cancer, died at 11:15 o'clock Friday night in her home. She had been a resident of this place since 1907, the year of her marriage. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Villa Grove Cemetary. Mrs. Parker leaves her husband, her mother, five children: John of Sullivan, Mrs. Nannie Robinson of Tolono, Stella, Della and Irene at home; two sisters: Mrs. Harley Griffith of Champaign, Mrs. Harrison Durham of Winchester, Ind; six brothers: R. F. McCollom and Luther of Village Grove, Dan and I. T. McCollom of Winchester, Ind., and Charles and Volle McCollom of Conway, Ky. Mrs. Parker was born in Scaffle Cane, Ky, July 26, 1888, and was married Jan. 23, 1907.
