FORMER PALATINE PASTOR PASSES AWAY

Rev. J. E. Robeson, pastor of Palatine M.E. Church, 1912-1916, died unexpectedly
last Thursday at his home in Prophetstown, Ill., where funeral services were
held Monday.  A large number of ministers attended the services at which the
district superintendent officiated.  The sermon was delivered by Dr. Carpenter.
 Interment was at Mendota, Ill., where Rev. Robeson served a number of years as
minister.

Deceased leaves his wife and two sons, Reginald, Camp Bowie, Texas, and Harold,
who is in the coast guard.  His own family was a large one and he has many
brothers and sisters.

Rev. Robeson came to Illinois from Ontario, Canada, thirty-five years ago and
his pastorates since that time have been in the northern part of the state.

His last visit to Palatine was a few weeks ago when he delivered the funeral
sermon of Mrs. H.H. Pahlman.  There services Monday were attended by H.H.
Pahlman and Miss Dollie Wilson.
