Funeral is Held for Austin Grad Killed in Crash

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Capt. Leonard R. Wilson, Jr., 
28, USAF, former Austin High School and Purdue University football star, who was 
killed in a plane crash in Morocco.  He was assigned there after flying 150 
mission in Viet Nam.  

The funeral was held in Lombard with burial in Chapel Hill Gardens West.

Capt. Wilson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard R. Wilson, who lived for many 
years at 328 N. Lotus, and now reside in Lombard.  His wife is the former Mary 
Considine, who was chosen "Miss Austin of 1957."  They were childhood 
sweethearts.  

Capt. Wilson entered the Air Force in 1960 after graduating from Purdue 
University.
