C. WELLS, farmer, Sec. 15, P. O. Paris; is a native of Edgar Co.; was born in Paris Tp., Dec. 4, 1835. Was married Dec. 9, 1869, to Miss Sarah Davis, of Edgar Co. During his early life, he had but little opportunity of securing an education, but by home study and good observation succeeded in getting a good common-school education; has 160 acres of first-class land, well improved, valued at about $65 per acre; Mr. Wells is still a young man, of good standing and reputation, and has helped to make many of the improvements in the development of Edgar Co.
