W. Arterburn celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Methodist church Tuesday with five of their children present and one hundred relatives and friends.  The children present were H. A. Arterburn and Early Arterburn of Hageman, Idaho; Brent Arterburn of this city, Mrs. E. T. Pinnell of Westfield and Mrs. Leatha Reynolds of Lake Villa.   Mr. and Mrs. Arterburn were married in the home they are now living in on Oct. 18, 1877 by Rev. Mitchell, a pastor of the Presbyterian church.  Before her marriage Mrs. Arterburn was Miss Ellen Flint.   At the noon hour a bountiful combination dinner was served after which Rev. Oscar Stewart, pastor of the Methodist church made a short talk adn Marion Arterburn of Mattoon sang, "Sweetest Story Every Told;" "When Mother Prayed"; and "When they Ring the Golden Bells for You and Me."   Mr. and Mrs. Arterburn were presented with several gifts.   The guests included Mr. adn Mrs. Edwin Arterburn and Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Arterburn of Mattoon; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winn, Mrs. Sue Markle, Miss Lydia Markle and Mrs. Edith Dornblaser of Hume; Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Craig and Mrs. Laura Foreman of Charleston; Mrs. Anna Watson, E. T. Pinnel and son, Robert of Westfield; Mr. adn Mrs. O. E. Sherer and sons of Amarillo, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith of Grandview; Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Arterburn, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Arterburn, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Goble and son, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Honnold, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boyer, Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Hutton, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Barr and Miss Nadine Barr, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nay, Joe Moody, Mrs. C. A. Hite, Sally Mitchell Hite, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Roberts, Mrs. Mary Mason, Mrs. Eva Wilhoit, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Swickard.   Mr. and Mrs. Arterburn were again honored in the evening when a six o'clock dinner was given by class No. 12 of the Methodist church in the church basement.  Their five children were also present.   The following program was given:  Reading, "Golden Wedding"--Genevieve Richeson. Readings by Mrs. Frank Fitzpatrick and Mrs. A. N. Campbell. Rev. Stewart gave a talk contrasting 50 years ago with the present time.  At the close every one joined in singing "God be with you Till we Meet Again." Those participating were Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. James Craig, Mrs. Frank Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Lucinda Griffin, Miss Lula Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Roe Redman, and son, Mrs. F. V. Rider, Mrs. Ida Smith, Mrs. Mary Wass, Mr. and Mrs. M. L.
