W. Boyars, oldest daughter of Pendleton Wilhoit, died Dec. 4, 1902, at her home, one and one-half miles southwest of Kansas, Ill., from blood poisoning which was caused by a slight bruise which she received several months ago. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Brooks at Pleasant Hill Dec. 6. She was born April 22, 1844, in Jefferson county, Ky., and married to Geo. W. Boyars April 3, 1862, Kansas township in which they have resided over forty years. She leaves a husband and ten children--a father, five sisters and three brothers to mourn their loss. She died in the full triumph of faith. Dearest mother, thou hast left us, here thy loss we deeply feel, But 'tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Thou art gone to rest, dear mother, They troubles and trials are o'er.
