O. Stoneburner Passes Away R. O. Stoneburner of Paris, father of Mrs. Homer Pinnell of this city, and well known in this community, passed away Monday afternoon, after a several weeks illness following a stroke of paralysis. The funeral service was held in the Grandview Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pator, the Rev. E. Clark, assisted by Rev. W. E. Anderson of Paris. Interment took place in Grandview cemetery. Richard Oscar Stoneburner, son of Jacob and Nancy Wilhoit Stoneburner was born July 19, 1857 at the old Stoneburner homestead, east of Grandview, where he resided until December 1923, when he was forced to give up active farming owing to ill health. In 1874 he was married to Minnie C. Sheets, who passed away on December 13, 1879. One daughter, Pearl, was born to the marriage. She died August 20, 1884, at the age of four years. On August 7, 1884, Mr. Stoneburner was married to Mary Minerva Kime, who survives, together with one daughter, Mrs. Homer Pinnell, four granddaughters, Doris, Mildred, Minerva and Ruth Pinnell, one brother, Prosper L. Stoneburner of Paris, and a sister, Mrs. Riley Boyer of Mattoon. Mr. Stoneburner became a member of the Grandview Presbyterian church in 1874, during the ministry of the Rev. Lewis Jones. Fraternally he was affiliated with the Grandview I. O. O.
