Zink Held on Saturday Afternoon, the Rev. W. H. Fonger Officiating The funeral of John B. Zink, whose death occurred in Virginia last week, was held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Christian chruch, the Rev. W. H. Fonger officiating. Mr. Zink, accompanied by his wife, went to Virginia four weeks ago expecting to spend a year, in the hope of benefiting his health, having been ill for the past two years. During the short stay at Cold Springs, he gained in weight and was apparently making a gradual improvement. He passed away very suddenly, death being attributed to hear failure. The remains reached Kansas Friday, accompanied by Mrs. Zink and Chas. Carrier, of Cold Springs, a relative of the family, and was escorted to the late country home southeast of the city. John Ballard Zink was born in Washington county, Va., Nov. 29, 1859. At the age of twenty-four years he came to Illinois and Sept. 12, 1883, was united in marriage to Anna Laura Cash. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Lora Boyars and Mrs. Ada Collier. Besides the widow and two duaghters, he is survived by one grandson, Reginald Boyars; three brothers, Will of Danvers, David of Oklahoma, and Samuel of Louisiana, and one sister Adaline of Virginia.
