Elmer was born and raised in Paris, IL. They taught there about 3 to 4 years. later in life about 1978 while retired in the Dallas TX area he wrote this editorial in response to a comment the Superintendent of the Dallas TX schools made regarding small country schools. In making his point he gave a very good describtion of that Edgar County School. Thought it might be of interest to researchers of Edgar Co., IL.
