Certificate of Marriage, License and Filing
 License Application: State of Illinois, Edgar County, In the office of the 
Clerk of the County Court of said county: Peter STEWART of the County of Edgar 
and State of Illinois, who has this day applied to me for LICENSE OF MARRIAGE, 
being duly sworn, deposes and says the he has arrived at the age of 21 years, 
and that Salley E HENTHORN has arrived at the age of 18 years;  That they (the 
parties for whom this application is made) are now single and unmarried, and 
may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage.   Signed: Peter STEWART, 
Subscribed and sworn to before me this 18 day of Jany AD 1871.  A J Hogue, 
Clerk.

 Marriage License: State of Illinois, ...You are hereby authorized to join in 
the Holy Bands of Matrimony and to celebrate the Rites and Ceremonies of 
Marriage between Mr. Peter STEWART and Miss Salley E HENTHORN.....Witness A J 
Hogue, Clerk of our said Court and the Seal thereof at his office in Paris in 
said county this 18th day of Jany AD 1871.

 Marriage Certificate: State of Illinois, Edgar County, I Rob B Lamon a Justice 
of the Peace hereby certify that on the 18th day of January 1871 I joined in 
Marriage Mr. Peter STEWART with Miss Sallie E HENTHORN agreeably to the 
authority given in the above License and the custom & laws of this State.  
Given under my hand and seal this eighteenth day of January AD 1871.  R B
