In the name of God Aman I Thomas Jones of the County of Edgar and State of 
Illinois considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound 
mind and memory Blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this 
my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say
Unto my beloved wife I bequeath all my personal property during her life 
except such as is here in after execpted and at her death whatever personal 
property may remain shall be equally divided among my children

I bequeath unto my beloved daughter Nancy a Beavo now in my possion two beds 
and bedding.  One bey year old colt four head of cattle which have usually 
been called hers &
Unto my beloved Son Enoch Madison I bequeath the land that I now possess lying 
and being in the County of Edgar and State of Illinois to wit the east half of 
the north East quarter of Section fourteen in township thirteen north of Range 
twelve west containing eighty acres with all the appurtenance there unto 
belonging
And I bereby appoint Joseph P. Jones Sole executor of this my last will and 
testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Writing
Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st of October 1829

last Will and testament in presence of us who have hereto subscribed our names 
as witness in presence of the testator.(Attest) J J Phans, Miron Ives, Smith

Edgar County      }
     At a probate Court held for the County aforesaid at Paris on Monday the 
7th day of December 1829 the within last will and Testament of Thomas Jones 
deceased was produced in open Court and proved by the oath of Smith Shaw and 
Merion Ives two of the subscribing witnesses thereto as the law directs and 
thereupon the same was ordered to be recorded.  A copy Test Jon Mays Judge 
Probate

I Jonathan Mays Judge of Probate for the County of Edgar do certify that the 
writen last will and testament of Thomas Jones deceased was this day duly 
recorded in my office.
Given under my hand the 10th day of December 1829

Additional Comments:
Thomas Jones death date with other probate records and estate records was
1 November 1829.  Thomas Jones family started moving to Milam Texas, 
Municipality of Old Mexico in 1833 and 1835.
