Dieterich Special Gazette    April 12, 1928
Emma Wilhelmine Henriette, only daughter and youngest child of Gustave Miller 
and Doris Kanst Miller, was born at Lyons, (now West Chicago) Cook Co, IL, 
September 28, 1869, and died at the family residence in Dieterich IL at 
12p.m., midnight, Wednesday, April 4, 1928, age, 58 years, 6 months and 7 
days.Emma became afflicted with a heart disease 33 years ago. She was buried 
at the St Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Dieterich IL.

At the age of three years she came with her parents and two brothers to 
Effingham Co and resided on a farm 1 mile east and 3/4 miles north of 
Dieterich.

On September 28, 1887, she was united in marriage to G.F. Gust. After marriage 
they lived with the parents of the deceased (Emma's) for a while and then 
moved to their farm in Jasper Co, 3-1/2 miles north of Wheeler, then moving to 
the residence in Dieterich in February 1904, where she lived until her death.

To this wedlock were born two sons and two daughters, Clara, the youngest died 
on September 11, 1907, at the age of nine years. Sons, Otto and Martin and 
daughter, Dora.
