Deceased was born in Province of Poland, Germany, Sept. 29, 1842, having reached the age of 74 years, 11 months and 27 days. He came to America with his parents when he was eight years of age, the family moving to Chicago. In the year 1873 he moved with his family two miles north east of this place, where he resided until eighteen years ago, when he moved to this city. Mr. Miller was united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Cauts in Chicago. This union was blest with three children, Fred and Theodore, of New York City and Mrs. Emma Gust, of this city. Besides his aged wife and three children he leaves to mourn their untimely loss six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of friends. One word can express his character and that word was loyalty, he was every loyal to his family, his friends, to his country, to his church and to his God. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Ziebell. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
