Approximately 30 people have been buried here between 1865 and 1999. The first person buried here was Catherine Pennebaker Shellabarger Staff. She moved to Fayette County, IL in 1864 with her sons Peter S. Shellabarger and John F. Staff and their families. Most of the tombstones are in good shape or have been replaced with newer ones. Two, John Onins and Wilber Staff, were difficult to read. One was nearly impossible to read, it seems to say "Pearley Dau. of" but the rest could not be read. There is a lamb near the top, so I assume it was a young child.
