Hanson, 85, died at 8:55 a.m. Friday 3-6-1953 at her home in Elliott. She had been in failing health for several years. She was taken to the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Gale Barkalow of the Elliott Evangelical United Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibson City Cemetery. She was born 2-5-1868 in the Farmersville area, the daughter of James and Keziah Ann Blackmore. On 12-1-1897 she was married to Lars J. Hanson. They lived on a farm near here until 1939 when they moved to their present home in Elliott. Surviving are one daughter, Lillian, at home, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters, four brothers and her parents. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
